The 8th Chinese Respiratory Medical Specialist Symposium and the 4th Chinese Respiratory Medical Specialist Awards Night held in Beijing

On November 21st, 2009, the ¡°Chinese Respiratory Medical Specialist¡± award, which is held in the highest regard in the Chinese Respiratory Medical field, was presented at the 8th Chinese Respiratory Medical Specialist Symposium and the 4th Chinese Respiratory Medical Specialist Awards Night held in Beijing. Bai Chun Xue and five of his fellow colleagues garnered the award with their outstanding dedication and contribution to preventing respiratory diseases.

 

The 5th Annual Dermatologist Symposium took place in Su Zhou

 

During November 11th-14th, 2009, the 5th Annual Dermatologist Symposium was held in the Su Zhou International Expo Center. This symposium was hosted by the Chinese Medical Doctor Association. The purpose of the symposium revolved around elevating our standards in areas such as service and professional skills. At the 5th Dermatologist Symposium, the ¡°DQ Research Project¡±, which was collaboration between Japan¡¯s Shiseido and the CMDA, was officially activated. Such project is aimed at conducting basic research and clinical studies to help innovate our country¡¯s development in dermatological studies. This is to help realize the idea of establishing healthy and glowing skin

The 6th Chinese Cosmetology and Orthopedic Surgeons Convention held in Hangzhou

On November 13, 2009, the 6th Chinese Cosmetology and Orthopedic Surgeons Convention, which was sponsored by the Chinese Medical Doctors¡¯ Association, was held in the beautiful Xizi Lakefront at Hangzhou. During the convention, several hundred plastic surgeons from China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Europe, and the United States gathered at Hangzhou and discussed innovative developments in cosmetic surgery. This convention had, by far, the most number of people in attendance as well as the most number of discussed topics. The content of the discussion encompassed new surgical technologies pertaining to the cosmetic and orthopedic field. Of the many topics that were discussed, the international group of surgeons made interactions mainly on the new technologies in the field of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery that were applied to victims of natural catastrophes, the potential risks and methods of preventing them in the cosmetic surgery profession, as well as clinical studies in the area of interest.

 

Sixth Outstanding Medical Doctors Award in the Great Hall of the People

As the highest of the medical profession, the award presentation ceremony was held on Nov. 13th. There were 92 prize winners from almost all medical specilties aging from 28 to 83. Their outstanding medical knowledge and their care to the patients set them good examples of all those in the profession.

 

The 9th Committee Meeting of the China Medical Doctor Association held on October 13, 2009

The 9th Committee Meeting of the China Medical Doctor Association, which has 35 local physician associations and 44 branches, was held on October 13, 2009 in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, China. More than 60 CMDA officials and associates participated in the meeting, including the CMDA president Yin Dakui, , Executive Vice President and Secretary General Yang Jing, Vice-President Cai Zhongjun, Deng Kai-tert, Wang Zhiqiong, Deputy Secretary-General Lu Jun, and the president and secretary general of various provincial and municipal branches. The focus of this meeting is to combine the strength of the headquarters, territory branches and 2nd-tier agencies to further implement the principle of service, coordination, self-discipline, rights protection, supervision, and management. In order to better serve the two million physicians of the association and to achieve a win-win situation, the committee meeting proposed to enhance the executive power and increase the competitiveness of the association by integrating resources within the association to achieve optimal resource allocation. Representatives of Yunnan Province, Zhejiang Province, Shandong Province, Heilongjiang Province, Urumqi provinces, Henan, Sichuan, Hubei Province, Wuxi City, and representatives of other provincial and municipal associations shared and discussed their respective problems, difficulties and achievements at the meeting, and provided pertinent suggestions and comments on the work of the association.

 

The Second Beijing Forum of Infectious Disease Specialists was held on September 19-20, 2009

The Infectious Diseases Committee of Beijing Medical Doctor Association held the second Beijing Forum of Infectious Disease Specialist September 19-20, 2009 in Beijing to exchange and discuss the clinical and research experience and achievements of infectious diseases and to promote the development of infectious disease research, Specialists in infectious diseases, gastroenterology, and liver disease were welcomed to register.

Annual Meeting of Chinese Medical Doctors Association
Held in Beijing on June 17th, the meeting focused on establishing the systems of medical doctors' membership, training of medical doctors and information network. It also discussed about working with the Ministry of Health.

President Da-Kui Da gave a speech at the meeting. He indicated that it is important that the CMDA emphasizes service as its development relies on good services.

Vice Secretary-General Jun Lu introduced the co-operative work of CMDA with the Ministry of Health. He emphasized that CMDA should fully use the current 44 sub-associations and 35 local medical associations to best serve its members.

The First Annual General Surgeons Conference

Dear Distinguished Surgeons,

Chinese College of Surgeons (CCS) is a branch organization of Chinese Medical Doctor Association. It is a national, non-for profit and voluntary association consisting of individual surgeon members and institutional members. As the main association for general surgeons in China, all the participating members are legally registered and licensed general surgeons (licensed surgeons and licensed assistant surgeons) within the territory of China and are entitled to practice medicine in China. Approved by China's Ministry of Health and officially registered with China's Ministry of Civil Affairs, Chinese College of Surgeons (CCS) is legally constituted in November, 2007.

The mandate of Chinese College of Surgeons (CCS) is to regulate medical practice by licensed medical practitioners and to protect their rights as well as to advocate self-disciplines for the professionals. And through that mandate to establish and endorse standards for the profession and to initiate a series of functions as to coordinate, discipline, protect, oversea, manage its members. CCS unites and organizes surgeons in China to abide by national constitutions, laws, regulations and policies, to advocate the ethical values and life-saving humanitarian and professional principles, to improve surgeon medical levels and service quality, to protect the rights of surgeons and to improve the healthcare of Chinese people as well as to build a h armonious society.

The first Annual Surgeons Conference, organized by CCS will be held at Beijing Jiu Hua Mountain Resort International exhibition center from September 26 to September 29, 2008.

With the theme as "Accomplishment, Exploration, Challenge" - The Chinese Surgeons "Medical Practice and Professional Management", this conference invites renowned scholars and senior experts in the filed of general surgeon medical practice, scientific research and professional management, together with the surgeons from all over China, to gather together to discuss a number of topics: 1).The Chinese College of Surgeons' organizational and management model; methods and measurements of implementing different functions of the association; 2) Clinical development of various fields in surgery; coordination between various surgery and technical presentation and education; study and implementation of medical treatment standards, medical practice standards and medical professional standards; 3) the development of organizational management of CCS and international environment; 4) The professional risks that the Chinese surgeons are facing and the rights of surgeons.

This annual conference will turn out to be a platform for the general medical and clinical experience exchange between all the general surgeons, exploration of medical practice management model, presentation of medical service levels and participation of regularity of medical practice. This conference will also become the forefront for the appearance and education of new technology and new products in various field of surgery.

We welcome the attendance of general surgeons for academic discussions as well as experience-exchanging sessions.
